Who We Are

lucidIT is an IT consulting practice operated by James Walker. Our website is https://www.lucidit.io. We recently filed for LLC status; payment and business information may be updated as that process completes.

What We Collect

We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our services:

  • Account information — When you register on The Lobby (our client portal), we collect your name, email address, and any information you provide in support requests.
  • Site analytics — We use Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA v3 to understand site usage and prevent spam. These services may set cookies and collect anonymized usage data. See Google’s Privacy Policy.
  • Cookies — We use functional cookies for login sessions, preferences, and form submissions. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

What We Do NOT Collect or Store

lucidIT does not collect, store, or have access to any protected financial information. We do not store credit card numbers, bank account details, or payment credentials on our servers or in our website database. All payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe (see below).

Payment Processing — Stripe

We use Stripe as our payment processing partner. When you pay an invoice or manage your billing through our Stripe Customer Portal:

  • All payment data is collected, processed, and stored by Stripe — not by lucidIT.
  • You create your payment account directly with Stripe.
  • Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of security certification in the payments industry.
  • lucidIT can view invoice status and payment history through Stripe but cannot see your full card number or bank details.

For Stripe’s privacy practices, see Stripe’s Privacy Policy.

Email Communications — Brevo

We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to deliver transactional emails from our website, such as account confirmations, password resets, and support ticket notifications. Brevo processes your email address for delivery purposes only. We do not use Brevo for marketing email campaigns. For more information, see Brevo’s Privacy Policy.

Client Portal — Fluent Support

The Lobby, our client portal, is powered by Fluent Support. When you create a support ticket, your name, email, and the content of your request are stored in our WordPress database hosted at DreamHost. Only lucidIT staff can access this information, and it is used solely to respond to and resolve your requests.

Hosting and Security

Our website is hosted by DreamHost and uses Cloudflare as a CDN (content delivery network) for performance and basic security. Both services may process server logs containing IP addresses and request metadata. See their respective privacy policies for details.

Who We Share Your Data With

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above (Stripe, Brevo, Google, DreamHost, Cloudflare) as necessary to operate our website and deliver our services.

How Long We Retain Your Data

Support tickets and account information are retained for the duration of our business relationship and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (subject to legal and business retention requirements)
  • Withdraw consent for non-essential data processing

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@lucidit.io.

Alternative Payment Methods

If you prefer not to use online payment, we accept payment by check or ACH transfer. Contact billing@lucidit.io for details. Please note that our business entity and payment information may change as our LLC filing is finalized.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated through our website or via email. This policy was last updated on April 5, 2026.
